These Terms of Service govern your use of the R8IT mobile application, website and related services.

R8IT is operated by Bradley Botha.

By creating an account or using R8IT, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Nothing in these Terms removes consumer rights or other legal protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

You must meet the minimum age requirement applicable to R8IT and be legally permitted to use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use R8IT. R8IT accounts are intended for adults, not children. An app-store content rating is separate from this account eligibility requirement.

You agree to provide accurate account information and keep your login details secure.

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.

Please contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

R8IT allows users to create and manage lists, add entries, submit ratings and reviews, upload photos, discover recommendations and collaborate with others.

Some features require an internet connection.

R8IT V1 is offered free of charge.

We may introduce optional paid features in the future, but any such features will be accompanied by their applicable purchase terms before they become available.

We may improve, modify or discontinue features where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law.

You retain ownership of original content that you create and upload to R8IT, subject to the rights of others.

This may include list descriptions, reviews, photographs and other original material.

By submitting content, you grant R8IT a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, process, display and distribute that content as necessary to operate the service and provide the sharing features you select.

This licence is limited to purposes connected with providing, maintaining, securing and improving R8IT.

It ends when the relevant content is deleted, except where continued processing is legally permitted or necessary for retained copies, other users' independent contributions or previously completed sharing activities.

You must have the necessary rights and permissions to upload your content.

You must not upload material that infringes another person's intellectual property, privacy or other legal rights.

R8IT includes public, private and collaborative features.

You are responsible for choosing appropriate visibility settings and for considering what information you publish.

Public content may be viewed, shared or saved by other people.

Invited collaborators may be able to contribute to shared lists according to their permissions.

You must not use collaboration or sharing features to harass others, access information without permission or misrepresent another person's work.

If you remove access to a list, this may not remove copies that were previously captured outside R8IT.

Ratings and reviews reflect the opinions and experiences of individual users.

They are not guarantees of quality, safety, availability or suitability.

When posting ratings or reviews, you agree to:

• Share genuine opinions or experiences.
• Avoid deliberately misleading information.
• Avoid impersonation.
• Respect the privacy of others.
• Avoid abusive or discriminatory language.
• Disclose material relationships where necessary to avoid misleading others.

R8IT does not independently verify every rating, review or recommendation.

You should exercise your own judgement when relying on user-generated recommendations.

We want R8IT to be a useful and welcoming place to share recommendations.

You must not use the service to:

• Threaten, bully, harass or intimidate others.
• Post hateful or discriminatory content.
• Share unlawful, exploitative or sexually abusive material.
• Publish another person's private information without permission.
• Impersonate another person or organisation.
• Upload malicious software or harmful links.
• Spam users or manipulate ratings.
• Post fraudulent, deceptive or deliberately misleading content.
• Infringe intellectual property rights.
• Circumvent security measures or access controls.
• Interfere with the operation of the service.

We may review reported or otherwise identified content and take proportionate action where it breaches these standards.

Actions may include removing content, restricting visibility, suspending accounts or terminating access, subject to applicable law.

Select "Report content or user" and provide enough information for us to identify the issue.

Do not include unnecessary sensitive personal information in a report.

We will review reports and take appropriate action based on their nature and seriousness.

In-app reporting and blocking controls are planned and will be described when released.

For immediate danger or emergencies, contact the appropriate emergency services rather than relying on R8IT support.

You may stop using R8IT at any time.

You may request account deletion through our support page.

We may suspend or restrict an account where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate serious misuse, comply with law or enforce these Terms.

Where appropriate and lawful, we will provide information about the action and any available way to challenge it.

When an account is deleted, we aim to remove the account and its associated personal content, subject to legal obligations and the rights of other users.

Content owned solely by the deleted account may be removed.

For collaborative content, other users' independently authored contributions may be retained where lawful and technically appropriate, while the deleted user's identifying information is removed or de-identified as necessary.

The exact treatment of shared content depends on its ownership and applicable rights.

The R8IT name, branding, software, interface and other materials created by R8IT are owned by or licensed to the operator.

You may use the service for its intended purposes.

You may not copy, redistribute, reverse engineer or commercially exploit protected parts of the service except where permitted by law or with our permission.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your original content to R8IT.

R8IT may display information about businesses, products, locations, services and experiences.

Mentioning or reviewing a third party does not mean R8IT is affiliated with or endorses that third party.

External websites, maps and other third-party services may have their own terms and privacy practices.

R8IT is not responsible for the independent acts or omissions of third parties.

We aim to provide a reliable service, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.

Some features may be unavailable during maintenance, outages or loss of connectivity.

Offline changes may remain pending until a successful synchronisation occurs.

Users should confirm that important changes have synchronised before uninstalling the app, signing out or changing devices.

R8IT provides tools for recording and sharing personal opinions and recommendations.

User-generated information may be incomplete, subjective or outdated.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of user-generated content.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud or other non-excludable statutory responsibilities.

We are not responsible for losses caused solely by circumstances outside our reasonable control, subject to applicable consumer protections.

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to R8IT, legal requirements or security needs.

Where required, we will provide appropriate notice before material changes take effect.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence provide otherwise.

Nothing in this clause removes rights or legal remedies that applicable consumer law requires.
